The Sandvik India Gender Award 2019 was a call for excellence and commitment to gender equality in health, employment, entrepreneurship, sanitation, education, sports, social change, arts and culture. The award was to recognize individuals or organizations committed to supporting gender equality and contributing to Sustainable Development Goal 5. Dr Archana Shukla Mukherjee, Senior Manager, Change Alliance received the Sandvik India Gender Award 2019 on 27th July 2019 on behalf of Change Alliance.

The Grand Jury comprised of Sandvik Asia, Consulate General of Sweden, United Nations Global Compact India and Swedish Chamber of Commerce India along with more than 20 regional jury members from reputed companies and organisations of India.

As part of the award, Sandvik Asia partnered with Change Alliance to implement Gender Equality Programme in 4 factories covering more than 2000 workers in Delhi/NCR
